Good morning everyone and welcome to the final blog of 2020! We’ve had our ups and downs (let’s be honest mostly downs this year!) But we hope that you’ve managed to stay safe and well during your time with us. If you’re back home for the holidays then we wish you a wonderful Christmas break and New Year. If you’re staying in Exeter for the holidays then today’s blog is here to give you some information on keeping busy and safe over the next few weeks.
Christmas Day
If you’re around on Christmas Day Holland Hall offers their annual Christmas lunch on the 25th December for £10.00 per person This includes an arrival drink, 2 course lunch with all the trimmings, Christmas present and fun and cheer for all! Both students and staff are welcome. Purchase tickets here. Before the 18th December.
Residence Receptions
Our residence receptions are working hard to keep open during the holidays. Hours will differ between 21st December and the 3rd January. Please be sure to check the online opening hours for any needs you may have during the festive period. If your reception isn’t open during this period and you need help for issues such as lost keys or emergencies. We recommend that you contact Estate Patrol.
Health and Safety
The Student Health centre is available from 8.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays of Friday 25 December, Monday 28 December and Friday 1 January.
Students can attend virtual appointments by phone or video or you can arrange a face to face assessment if you need to access this. You can find out more on their website. If you need help outside of opening hours then please call 111 or go to the local A&E department.
Estate Patrol
Our wonderful estate patrol team work 24/7 365 days a year and this includes the Christmas closure period. Estate Patrol Officers will be available to provide advice, direction and attend incidents as required. The Non-emergency telephone line is 01392 723999, in cases of emergency individuals should contact the emergency services on 999 and then contact the Estate Patrol through their emergency line 01392 722222.
Accommodation Office
The accommodation office is open until the 22nd December. Please feel free to contact us. We will re-open on the 4th January 2021.
