Welcome back to Exeter! As the Spring term begins, if you haven’t yet found a place to live from September or people to live with, don’t worry – help is here.

Where to live?

Although many students secured a place to live before Christmas, there are still places available in the city. Options include private houses or flats, lodging with a live-in landlord or purpose-built student accommodation.

Find out more about private accommodation options >

Also, there may be some University accommodation becoming available to students after their first year. Keep an eye on our Returning Students accommodation webpage, which will be updated by the end of January with any availability we will have.

Where to look?

Studentpad is a great place to find both a place to live and people to live with. There are lots of properties currently advertised and you can search based on the criteria that is important to you.

You can also use the message board to chat with other students who are still looking for somewhere to live, or with a household who are looking for another to join their place.

Go to a flatmate finder event

With the next Flatmate finder event taking place on Monday 16th January, it’s the perfect opportunity to find others who are looking for someone to live with. Plus you can ask the Students’ Guild Advice team, Residence Life Mentors and Community Engagement Officers any questions you have about moving into accommodation after your first year.

Monday 16th December from 18:30 – 19:30 on Level 1 in Devonshire House.

So, with help out there for your future living arrangements, you can concentrate on the new term ahead.
