Good morning everyone. Firstly, we want to sincerely apologise for the issues you’ve been experiencing on our accommodation webpages over the past couple of days. We’re working hard to fix these problems and appreciate this has been a source of frustration for many of you and would like to thank you for your continued patience. In today’s blog we will be focusing on information about our nominated residences.

IT update:

We are aware that students have been struggling to access our online portal.

We are working hard to rectify the situation and will notify you of any updates via our social media channels and would encourage you to check these regularly.  If you’re trying to view or accept an offer of accommodation then please be reassured that your deadline will be extended. We’re working to publish your allotted arrivals date – this information should be live on our webpages.

For those of you who have been allocated to one of our nominated properties, you are not required to complete the online Induction or book an arrival time through the University online portal as you will be contacted by your specific residence in order to arrange your arrival.

Nominated Residences:

Our nominated residences are established partners with the University, the partners own various purpose built student accommodation properties, which are similar to the halls of residences as owned by the University.

For those of you who have been allocated to one of our nominated residences, your information will be passed to the residence by the accommodation office. The residence will then contact you directly within 2 working days

All of your communication will then come from the company that manages your residence – they will contact you directly to organise your contract and your arrival period.

Our residence contracts and experience manager works directly with our partners to ensure that everything is in line with our University policies and procedures during your living experience. The Accommodation office are here throughout the year to support you with anything you may need during your time living here and we are always available to give advice and guidance to you.

Despite the fact that your residence will be managed through a separate company, as a student of the University you will have the same access to all support services. This includes our residence life team who have an in-depth knowledge of the support and wellbeing services on offer to provide support to students living in University accommodation. Every student living in our accommodation is assigned a Residence Life Mentor who has experience of student life.

Thank you for reading today’s blog! Please remember to get in touch with our team if you have any questions.
