It’s safe to say that the Accommodation Team here at Exeter are feeling in a celebratory mood at the moment, after being shortlisted in the Halls and Accommodation category of the Whatuni awards.

The student-led awards take place annually and are designed to highlight the good work undertaken by universities on behalf of their students. What makes this shortlisting even more important to us is that the ‘WUSCA’s are decided solely based on reviews provided by you, our students, with around 35,000 submissions being made on the site annually.

These reviews not only let us know where we can improve or where we are doing well, but they also allow prospective students to see unbiased information about the facilities and services provided here at the University of Exeter.

When the shortlists were announced, Sarah Snow, Deputy Director of Commercial, Residential & Campus Services at the University of Exeter said: “At Exeter we recognise that student accommodation is critical to academic success.  Our residences aren’t just bedrooms, kitchens and communal facilities, we create homes and communities to ensure our students have a sense of belonging, contributing hugely to their overall university experience”.

It goes without saying that your feedback, in whatever format, is crucial to us, so on behalf of the whole Residences Team we’d like to say a huge thank you for your WhatUni reviews.

The  winners of this year’s awards will be announced on Tuesday 24 May 2022 at a special ceremony in Canary Wharf, London, with details of the outcome published on  the Whatuni website.
