We hope you have all enjoyed the Easter Break but now it’s over it’s time to knuckle down and focus on those all-important exams. Food planning, although enjoyable, can be time consuming and that’s why the Meal Package Card has been brought back for this term!

If you’re a student in self-catered accommodation, you might not realise it but you too can enjoy stress-free meals in catered halls with the Meal Package Card. The catered dining halls are based in Holland Hall, Lopes Hall and Birks Grange. They provide breakfast 7 days a week, hot dinners 7 days a week and a brunch on the weekends.

Pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit, toast or a hot cooked meal containing vegan, vegetarian and meat items are just a few of the things you can enjoy at breakfast time.

Dinner Time – there is plenty of choice on the menu. You can pick from a main, a choice of side dishes and a dessert! The catering team love experimenting and making sure that you always get different food and food to suit the seasons. Nothing beats a delicious roast in the colder months and fresh salad during the spring. We also do theme nights for particular occasions during the year; these can be seen on the weekly menus.

If you have any intolerances or dietary requirements, then please don’t worry as this is also catered for:

Dairy free ✔

Gluten free ✔

Vegan friendly ✔

Vegetarian friendly ✔

Nut free ✔

The majority of the food is self-serve and therefore you are fully in control.

The food halls have a great atmosphere and are really great for socialising. The experience lets you enjoy your food, whilst allowing you to take a break and not worry about cooking, cleaning or tidying up.

As a self-catered student, you can purchase a meal package card which allows you to enjoy any 7 meals of your choice on any day for just £28.10. There is no limit on how many of these cards you can buy, the only rule is that they can only be used in term time. Purchase your meal package card through the University’s Online Store.

You can find out more information about the catered halls, including menus and meal times, on our dedicated webpage: http://www.exeter.ac.uk/accommodation/residences/aboutcateredhalls/
