Creative Connections | A Thick Line by Rebecca Edgerley, Charlie W. Rayner, Kelly Stevens, MJ Inston, Sarah Paddock, Sophie Stenson is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0

This zine contains collages by colleagues across Learning Design, Politics, Natural Sciences, and Project Management and Administration. The poem weaves participant and researcher voices to express how creative approaches prompted reflection on the relationship between personal and professional contexts.

Visual Revelations | Cartooning | 18 Sept & 23 Oct 2024

Building in different shapes and With(out) Scaffolds | by Rebecca Edgerley et al. is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0

This comic responds to the second Visual Revelations workshop, and the researcher’s third attempt at ethnography. The comic is drawn by the researcher, but words and imagery are inspired by the participants. The comic documents researcher anxieties around conducting ethnographic observations and the ways in which cartooning-sketching-doodling-drawing encourage different ways of managing research and professional work amongst participants.

Three Rooms | A Data Analysis Zine | October 2024

Building in different shapes by Rebecca Edgerley et al. is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0

This zine “folds” together a summary of initial findings from Creative Connections and Visual Revelations workshops. Taking place in three different rooms, across two different campuses, I consider three observations from these first workshops. I offer three conceptual “stitches” to hold these observations in place for analysis, explanation, and further exploration.

Please download the zine template and make/read for yourself, following the instructions provided.
