Besides our keynote presentations by Xu Cheng (University of Pennsylvania), Sílvia Gonçalves (McGill University), Guido M. Kuersteiner (University of Maryland), and Martin Weidner (University of Oxford), the conference program will also feature three invited sessions in memory of Thomas J. Wansbeek – the previous scientific coordinator of the IPDC, who sadly passed away last year. Confirmed invited speakers include Badi H. Baltagi (Syracuse University), Tom Boot (University of Groningen), Maurice J. G. Bun (De Nederlandsche Bank), Cheng Hsiao (University of Southern California), Yingyao Hu (Johns Hopkins University), Esfandiar Maasoumi (Emory University), Erik Meijer (University of Southern California), Vasilis Sarafidis (Brunell University London), and Robin C. Sickles (Rice University).

We are also happy to announce that Di Liu, principal econometrician at StataCorp LLC, will be giving a lunchtime talk during the conference on “Heterogeneous difference in differences in Stata”. The talk will explore how to estimate, visualize, infer, and aggregate heterogeneous treatment effects.

We aim to publish a first preliminary program by mid May.
