Here are the details for second year students considering applying for a placement with Reed Smith for 2024.

What is the ‘LLB with Placement’?
A partnership between the University of Exeter and Reed Smith to create a unique law degree.

It involves:

Your third year spent on a 9-month paid placement at Reed Smith’s London office.
You’ll spend six months working in a Practice Group and three months working on an ‘innovation project’
A supportive and stimulating environment, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, commercial setting.
Placement students will be considered for a Training Contract on based on their performance.
Applications close on 27th October at 5pm

How to apply:

We have some suggestions below which can help you prepare for the video interview, and to help with the commercial awareness preparation.

On My Career Zone (careercentre.me) browse the video mock interviews and you will see there is a law tile with 5 questions that you can practice completely anonymously.
Littlelaw is a free newsletter that you can sign up for to help with commercial awareness.
Rebecca Schrod, Reed Smith Recruitment Manager also recommends that you look at the sectors Reed Smith specialise in(see website here), as they are likely to ask a question about one of the sectors that interests you.
