24 October 2023Expressions of interest by 5pm 13 November are invited from students wishing to participate in this national competition focusing on mediation.
The UK Student Mediation Competition is a competition for Law Students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level of study. The origins of the competition can be traced back to 2008 when the first competition took place at The University of Westminster and thereafter has been held every year during the academic calendar at various institutions across the country.
The competition is designed to help Law students to understand the value of resolving disputes through mediation and to help develop their mediation skills and techniques, and better understand the mediation process in general.
The competition enables students to apply their knowledge and skills in these areas during the course of their personal and professional lives. More information about the competition can be found at UK Student Mediation Competition 2023/24 (studentmediators.com) and https://loxly.io/student-mediators/competition-rules/
The competition will take place on 26-27 January 2024 at Edinburgh University Law School. The Law School will be able to send one team consisting of three students to this competition.
