We’d like to hear from students wishing to participate in this national competition focusing on mediation.
Team Members who take part will gain:
❖ Enhanced written and oral presentational and advocacy skills
❖ A chance to practise negotiating skills and to explore different approaches in mediation
❖ An opportunity to exercise their problem-solving skills in mock commercial mediations moderated by professional mediators
❖ An insight into best practice in commercial mediation
❖ A unique addition to their CV .
The students in each team adopt the role of counsel and client and seek to resolve a commercial dispute working with each other, their counterparty and an experienced mediator. Their performance is evaluated by some of the country’s leading dispute resolution specialists, who participate in the Competition as judges. The competition will take place over the weekend of 19-21 January 2024 in London. The Law School will be able to send one team consisting of two students to this competition.

In accordance with the Competitions Policy, please include in your email details of any previous external competitions where you have represented the Law School.
