1 February 2024PROJECT PLAY 2024, OPEN NOW! ?
If you enjoy travelling, passionate about making a difference or are looking for opportunities to enhance your CV? Get involved with Exeter’s trusted charity partner, Play Action International. Spend 2 or 4 weeks in summer, building a playground in the heart of Uganda or Kenya, gaining a global outlook and discovering a new culture. Fully immerse yourself in a cultural experience that’ll give you first-hand work experience with children, as well as in the international development sector, and create a long term and sustainable legacy of play.
With over a decade of experience, and with ethics, sustainability, fun and adventure at the heart of their volunteering programmes, Project Play is the perfect opportunity for your volunteering adventure! Play Action International pride themselves on providing a sustainable in-country programme that meets the needs of the community and is led by local communities. Not only will you be building a playground, but you’ll also be getting involved in play-based sessions with the children – this’ll include arts and crafts using local materials, introducing sports into their curriculum and setting fun challenges to get the children to learn and interact in a different manner. Did we also mention you could do amazing activities such as a Big 5 African Safari, quad biking, white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking and paddle boarding all on The River Nile!? Does this sound like a bit of you? Don’t miss out, spaces are limited! For more information and to download the 2024 brochure:
Matthew, a representative from Play Action International, will be hosting an information meeting for everyone who is interested in the opportunity at 5:00pm in the Queen’s Building in MR 2-3 tomorrow Thursday 1st February for anyone interested in the opportunity. Come along to find out more!
