Accelerate your journey into the legal profession

Are you looking to take your career in a new direction? If you’ve ever considered a career in law but don’t have an undergraduate degree in the subject, our postgraduate Law Conversion Courses could be the perfect fit for you. Better still, you can study them right here in Exeter, on campus, thanks to our partnership with The University of Law.

With options to study full-time or part-time at one of our many campuses, we provide the flexibility to suit your needs.

Courses designed for success: Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL)

From day one, our PGDL conversion course will teach you to think like a lawyer and prepare you for the realities of life in legal practice. Transitioning to a new discipline may be daunting, but our PGDL course offers excellent levels of support and guidance from our experienced, professional lecturers.

The PGDL also provides a strong pathway to further legal study, such as the LLM Legal Practice (SQE1&2) or the Bar Practice course (BPC), positioning you for success as a solicitor or barrister.

Why choose us?

  • More law students have chosen us than any other UK university in 2023 (HESA 2022/23).
  • We’ve trained more practising lawyers in the UK than anyone else.
  • 94% of postgraduates were in employment or further study 15 months after graduating (2021/22 Graduate Outcomes data).
