Call for blogs for International Women’s Day

13 February 2025

To mark International Women’s Day, our Dignity and Democracy Blog is organising a Special Issue to promote awareness of and discussion on persisting issues such as gender equality, freedom of expression, reproductive rights, violence and abuse against women.

The day is held on 8 March each year. The world comes together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Wherever in the world you are based and no matter your discipline or type of engagement with human dignity, human rights or democracy, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your research on women’s issues. We would also love to hear from those of you who would like to use this as an opportunity to explore your work from a new angle. This Special Issue is the ideal platform to consider a new, women-centred, perspective to your research.

Be part of the solution, join us in accelerating women’s equality! Please email your submission(1,000 word limit) to dignitydemocracyblog-mailbox@exeter.ac.uk, the deadline is 5pm, 28 February 2025, (UK time).
