The Career Mentor Scheme is now open for applications where you are matched to a mentor for 6 months including over the summer period. It’s a great way to get expert advice. You can search for mentors on Handshake in the Jobs section by typing in Career Mentor with the occupation you are interested in. There are lots to choose from a wide variety of occupations. There are also lots of jobs and internships advertised on Handshake, as well as events taking place during the Easter holidays.

Consider taking the 15-credit module Work Experience: Building Skills and Unlocking Opportunities if you are a current second year. In this module you can benefit from direct support to identify, apply for and complete 35 hours of work experience, and can be selected during the module change window in September 2025.
