Referencing Made Easy: Join us for our monthly referencing masterclass for top tips on how to make referencing easier. This workshop gives an overview of referencing basics suitable for all referencing styles. It also takes you through the most effective way to use Cite Them Right to make sure your citations are always accurate. There will be time for you to ask questions at the end.

    • Revolutionise your Revision: Bored of revising in the same old ways? Feel like you’re not revising as effectively as you could be? This is the workshop for you! We will explore a variety of revision strategies, look at revision do’s and don’ts and think about how you can plan your revision more successfully.

    • Mastering Critical Reading for Your Dissertation: This workshop will equip you with the skills and strategies necessary for reading critically and making the best use of your reading for your dissertation. Learn how to analyse academic texts effectively, identify key arguments, and synthesize information to support your research.

    • Managing time, maximising success: Not sure how to juggle your university work-life balance? Join this monthly workshop with our Study Skills team to learn time management strategies to boost your productivity, tackle those deadlines and take control of your schedule.

    • Dissertation Writing Simplified: Key Components and Best Practices: This short session will cover the essential components (research question, thesis statement, structure, etc.) of a successful dissertation. The session will also briefly explain the best practices for each component. This session is perfect for better focus and a clearer understanding of the dissertation researching and writing processes.

    • Exam Technique Explained: This workshop will focus on exam technique. We will explore how to read, interpret and breakdown exam questions, time management during the exam and other helpful tips to make your exams go as smoothly as possible. The workshop will focus mainly on essay style exams, however, we will also discuss other types of exam such as multiple choice question papers and short answer exams, and consider in person exams as well as those undertaken online.
