Wedlake Bell: Recruiting trainees now

Posted by The Law School

8 April 2025

This opportunity has come from the law firm Wedlake Bell who are currently recruiting 8 trainees.

Wedlake Bell is a contemporary London law firm which operates four key practice groups: private client, business services, real estate and dispute resolution, and also has specialisms in trademarks and employment litigation.

Wedlake Bell’s approach is to recruit a small number of trainees each year. Our small, close knit intakes are able to receive high-quality training and experience high levels of client contact right from the start of their training. We are currently recruiting 8 trainees per year.

We provide exceptional training, and provide you with a supportive environment where you can reach your potential.

As a full-service law firm, you have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of different practice areas. We are big enough that you will experience market-leading legal matters, and small enough that you will be noticed.

In addition to this, Wedlake Bell is consistently highly-regarded as offering a good work-life balance and a strong work culture. We offer regular staff socials for you to get to know everyone at the firm, including our annual ski trip and walking trip.

How do I apply?

Applications for the 2027 Training Contracts are open and the deadline to submit your application is the Thursday 1 May 2025.

To apply, you will need to submit an online application form. This includes a covering letter.

What is the selection process?

All applications are reviewed and selected candidates are invited to attend a first round interview day. The first round interview day will take place in the summer and consists of a written assessment and an interview. This will likely be conducted as a virtual interview.

Successful candidates will be invited to attend an in-person final round interview and final written assessment which will take place at our office in London. On the day, there will also be a Networking lunch so that you can meet more members of the team and find out more about the firm.
