Are you interested in mergers & acquisitions within the energy sector? This Careerzone event is open to all PGT and final-year UG students who are interested in mergers & acquisitions in the energy sector. JLL is happy to consider any students interested in the energy sector. Business background is not required. We are pleased to be welcoming the following alumni panel:

Max Stirling – Director (Alumnus of BEng Renewable Energy Engineering 2019)

Max leads on energy storage transactions. He has closed over 10GW and £5bn in funding across over 45 transactions including:

  • Take private of Harmony Energy Income Trust Plc by Foresight LLP.
  • Sale of Pacific Green’s 100MW Operational BESS project to Sosteneo Infrastructure .
  • Buyside advisor to BlackRock for their £200m investment into KX Power.

 Sam Brading – Senior Associate (Alumnus of MSc Financial Analysis & Fund Management 2022)

Sam joined JLL in 2022 following his MSc Financial Analysis & Fund Management at Exeter University. Recent transaction experience includes:

  • Disposal of 330MW solar + BESS portfolio at various stages of development
  • Live disposal of 243MWp RtB solar PV portfolio with pre-qualified assets for CfD AR5

Jinkai Chan – Senior Associate (Alumnus of BEng Renewable Energy Engineering 2022)

Jinkai has experienced and closed transactions in BESS and Solar PV across 5 countries. Recent transaction experience includes:

  • Sale of Lightsource bp UK Operational 25MW/50MWh BESS & 61MWp Tiln Farm co-located Solar Project Sale in the UK to Greencoat.
  • Formation of JV and Sale of Ready-to-Build (RtB) 196MW BESS portfolio for Ingrid Capacity and Locus Energy in Sweden.
  • Sale of 300MWp BESS for Baywa RE GroenLeven to Royal Vopak in Netherlands.
