The format is straightforward and focused entirely on short oral submissions, so there’s no need for lengthy preparation or written work. Date & time
The competition takes place on Saturday 13 December 2025, 09:00–16:00. This is a fully online event. Places are limited, so early sign-up is recommended.
How it works
You compete as an individual. The case bundle is released on Friday 12 December at 18:00. On Saturday 13 December, you’ll make a 5-minute oral bail application across three rounds (with progression determined by judges).

Open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
