“Consumer policy in times of European competitiveness: trade-offs and opportunities”

It was our pleasure to welcome Agustín Reyna, Director General, BEUC to deliver the 2026 Annual Lasok Lecture. Agustín Reyna is the Director General of BEUC, The European Consumer Organisation, which serves as the umbrella group for 44 independent consumer organisations across 31 European countries.

Dr. Reyna delivered an insightful and thought-provoking analysis of the risks and opportunities facing EU consumer protection amid today’s geopolitical, technological, and social challenges. The audience was fully engaged throughout, and our students posed sharp questions that prompted even deeper discussions.

Watch this space as we will be soon preparing for the 2027 Lasok Lecture, which will celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the CELS’s Lasok Lecture Series!
