Mooting opportunity: Landmark Chambers Judicial Review Moot 2026–27

Exeter Law School is entering a team of two students in Landmark Chambers’ Judicial Review Moot, now in its eighth year.

No prior knowledge of planning or environmental law is required. Chambers provides resources including sample skeleton arguments, and is aware that these areas are unfamiliar to most students.

What’s involved

• Round 1 — in person at Landmark Chambers, London, on Saturday 21 November 2026. The day includes a planning and environmental law workshop with members of Chambers, and a Q&A with their Pupillage Committee on the pupillage application process.
• Three knockout rounds in total, leading to a Grand Final at the Royal Courts of Justice.
• The highest-scoring advocates in the Final each receive £500 and a mini-pupillage at Landmark Chambers.

The problems are public law based, applying planning and environmental law in a judicial review context. This would be good preparation for anyone interested in public law, human rights, or planning and environmental law.

Who it’s for:
Second and Third year students as well as those on the LLM.

• Your full name, student number and year of study.
• Up to 150 words explaining why you want to take part, and any previous mooting or advocacy experience.
• Confirmation that you are free on Saturday 21 November.
