FTB’s Pupillage Open Evening

Venue: Online or in person: Francis Taylor Building, Inner Temple, London, EC4Y 7BY
Date and Time: 29 November 2023. Panel discussion from 6.00 – 7.00pm followed by informal networking drinks until 8.00pm.
Eligibility: The event is open to all those who are interested in a career in the Bar and who are currently studying in university or who have completed their university studies.
Booking: Places must be reserved in advance(Details below).

This will be a hybrid event with the opportunity for participants to attend in Chambers or remotely. It will take the form of a panel discussion with members of Chambers with different specialisms within Chambers’ practice areas and at different stages of their career as panellists.

Topics covered will include:

  • An insight into the planning and environmental Bar
  • Path to the Bar as non-law student
  • What is FTB Chambers looking for in candidates?
  • Tips for the application process and interviews
  • Life as a pupil
  • Pupillage to tenancy
  • Practice as a junior tenant

Attendees are welcome to join in person in Chambers or remotely via zoom. RSVP via email to events@ftbchambers.co.ukindicating your institution and course (if relevant) and whether you will be attending in person or remotely. Information regarding practical arrangements will be sent to all registered attendees closer to the date.
There are a limited number of places for in-person attendance.  Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. If the number of people who wish to attend in-person exceeds the number of places, then we will operate a waiting list. If you have secured an in-person place and can no longer attend, we would kindly request that you email events@ftbchambers.co.uk to inform us of this so that we can offer your place to another person.
