Online Workshops for May 2025
- Managing time, maximising success: Not sure how to juggle your university work-life balance? Join this monthly workshop with our Study Skills team to learn time management strategies to boost your productivity, tackle those deadlines and take control of your schedule.
Event details: Tuesday 6 May at 12:00 pm – online session on Microsoft Teams: Register for a place.
- Referencing Made Easy: Join us for our monthly referencing masterclass for top tips on how to make referencing easier. This workshop gives an overview of referencing basics suitable for all referencing styles. It also takes you through the most effective way to use Cite Them Right to make sure your citations are always accurate. There will be time for you to ask questions at the end.

- Understanding Assessment Criteria: Join this workshop to learn about the key criteria set by the department for effective assessments. This session will guide you gain insights into analysing and interpreting assessment criteria for essays or dissertations. You will also learn how to navigate these academic requirements and meet the expectations.

- Critical Reading and Writing: Join this workshop to learn about the key strategies to enhance your analytical skills. The session will guide you to learn the strategies to approach texts critically, uncovering deeper meanings and evaluating arguments effectively. You will also learn the strategies to strengthen your writing.

- Feedback 101: Making feedback work for you: Join your Study Skills adviser, Jenny, to learn strategies for using assignment feedback to improve your future work. Jenny will guide you through a 7-step process and share some handy resources to get you started. There will be plenty of time for questions at the end.
