Arianna Zeidi, LLB (Hons) Graduate and current LLM student at the University of Exeter, has joined the founding committee of ASAN-UK (American Students Association Network – UK) as President. ASAN-UK is a new national organisation bringing together American students studying across universities in the UK. Its aim is to create a connected, supportive network that promotes community, representation, and professional development for American students during their time in the UK.

ASAN-UK will work across institutions to:
• Build a national community connecting American students and alumni across the UK
• Support student leadership, collaboration, and peer mentoring
• Facilitate academic, social, and professional networking opportunities
• Act as a representative voice for American students within the UK higher education landscape.

ASAN is currently in the early stages of building the organisation and is welcoming students and alumni who would like to get involved. ASAN-UK will also be launching with a national conference on Sunday 8 February, bringing together American students and alumni from across the UK. The conference will focus on community-building, leadership, and professional development, and will provide an early opportunity for members to connect, shape the direction of the organisation, and engage with speakers and partners. It marks the formal start of ASAN-UK as a national network.

Arianna would be delighted to hear from anyone who is interested in supporting ASAN-UK as the team build the network from the ground up: az332@exeter.ac.uk You can also find more information about the network here: https://asan-uk.com.
