Law School Key dates & Events April 2022:

We know you are hard at work preparing for your May exams and are also enjoying some hard-earned time off, so the key dates for April will be limited in this bulletin.

April 12-14 – BILETA Conference 2022 @ University of Exeter

The 37th edition of the annual BILETA conference will be held on Streatham Campus. BILETA, the British and Irish Law Education Technology Association, are inviting individuals to attend and participate in its critical and topical discussions on the future of law, technology and legal education.

Wednesday 13 April – The Court of Protection Bar Association Careers Webinar: Diverse Perspectives

Join The Court of Protection Bar Association as they discuss experiences of becoming barristers and practicing Law coming coming from a variety of backgrounds. There will be speakers from a variety of groups – BAME, working class, non-law, non-London who will speak on the issue.

April 26-27 – First Year Law Fair

AllAboutLaw is hosting the UK’s largest law fair for first year students, allowing students the chance to network with top law firms.

You can get advice on how to make the best of your time at university, learn about how best to get onto a training contract and research the firms that you might want to work for.

Wednesday April 27 – UOE Supplier Sustainability Day

In an event open to students, staff and suppliers alike, you will have the opportunity to hear about some of the achievements and issues facing different industries within the University’s supply chain, and to collaborate on innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.

The event will include a selection of talks from our valued partners detailing not only how they are contributing to the University’s Environment and Climate Emergency response, but how they are integrating the principles of sustainable planning and operation within their business from the top to the bottom. 

Monday May 2 – Summer Term Begins

The Summer Term begins on May 2, but no teaching will be held on the first day, as it is a bank holiday. The term will conclude on Friday 17 June.
