The short talk will cover the college, courses, scholarships, social life, careers and the application process, and there will be a chance for questions. You do not need to have studied these subjects before (one previous scholarship holder even studied Zoology at undergraduate level) and language graduates are encouraged to apply. Francis Taylor Building (FTB) is a London based chambers specialising in all areas of planning and environmental law. Their Pupillage Open Evening, is an opportunity to learn about careers at the planning and environmental Bar more generally, practice at FTB and the pupillage recruitment process.
This will be a hybrid event. It will take the form of a panel discussion with members of Chambers with different specialisms within Chambersâ practice areas and at different stages of their career as panellists. For those attending in person, there will be an opportunity to chat to members in a more informal setting after the panel discussion. Those attending remotely will be offered the opportunity to book a slot for a one-on-one discussion with a barrister on Zoom after the panel discussion.

This hybrid event is organised by the Planning & Environment Bar Association (PEBA) with support of the Inner Temple.

Are you a final year student pursuing a career at the bar and intending on applying for pupillage through the gateway in February 2023? If so, Quadrant Chambers are inviting applications for their third virtual moot event â to take place on 11 January 2023.
The competition will be individual, with each participant preparing both sides of a short moot problem based on contract law, and 7 minutes allowed per participant per round with a total of 6 rounds for the most successful mooters.
To give maximum opportunity to a broad range of students, Quadrant Chambers limit entry to 6 applications from each institution. A research group at the university are undertaking an important project with legal regulators and would love to hear your views and experiences as law students. The competition is a unique opportunity for students to participate in mediation simulations and to receive expert feedback from practitioners in a friendly and supportive environment. The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators hold an annual Alternative Dispute Resolution competition for UK law students, trainees, and âpupilsâ. This year the focus returns to Arbitration and this is an opportunity for you to be part of a team of between 2 & 4 individuals plus a team manager. The venue is the offices of BCLP located at Governors House, 5 Laurence Pountney Hill, London EC4R 0BR. The Undergraduate Research Showcase (UGRS) is an annual exhibition of research that students have undertaken during their time at Exeter.
The Showcase is open to students in all years, including recent alumni, from all disciplines across campuses.
There are three ways of exhibiting your research at the Showcase:
You can present your research as either a poster, an abstract, a video or all three. For guidance on submissions, please see the submission guidance page.
All work is displayed in a public exhibition throughout the week, both online on our SharePoint website and in-person across all Exeter campuses. Locations of where the work will be displayed on each campus are to be confirmed. Submissions are open now until midnight 8th of January 2023. To submit, please fill in the submission form.
