Mission statement
The Policy Refugee Policy Forum (PRPF) is an ad hoc, unfunded group of independent experts seeking to uphold international law and UN resolutions relating to Palestine refugees and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
PRPF is concerned about:
- The erosion of respect for the legal status and rights of Palestine refugees including the right of return1;
- The increasing political, financial, security and other constraints on, and unprecedented attacks and systematic attempts to dismantle, UNRWA; and
- The consequences and risks for Palestine refugees.
PRPF aims to:
- Promote the rights of Palestine refugees under international law and pursuant to UN resolutions;
- Support the human rights of the Palestinian people including the right to self-determination2;
- Support UNRWA mandate to provide assistance, protection, and human development services to Palestine refugees until a just and lasting solution to their plight is found3.
- Counter false narratives including unfounded allegations against UNRWA and its personnel
- Develop strategies to improve governance and funding of UNRW;
- Raise awareness of the benefits of saving and sustaining UNRWA
The PRPF is seeking to expand its expertise and membership.
