2 November 2020The Rehabilitation Enablement in Chronic Heart Failure (REACH-HF) team, who developed a home-based rehabilitation programme that could help thousands of heart failure patients to achieve a better quality of life, are delighted to announce that they have won a prestigious BMJ Award – Stroke and Cardiovascular Team of the Year!
The REACH-HF programme was developed by a collaboration led by the University of Exeter and the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust with contributions from clinical and academic partners across the UK including Exeter, Glasgow, NHS Lothian, Gwent, Birmingham, York, Dundee and Plymouth. It was funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).
The judges said that REACH-HF is “an impressive example of excellent teamwork producing a real world solution.”
We would like to thank everyone involved in REACH-HF and for those NHS sites currently rolling-out the home-based programme across the UK.
