Good morning all,
As many of you will be aware, there has been a lot of news recently with regards to exam results. It has been declared by the government that students will receive centre assessment grades. The University has been working hard to try to come up with the best solution to these unforeseen circumstances and we appreciate those of you bearing with us whilst we sort this out.

Our guarantee

If the student applied for accommodation by 31 July and was initially rejected by the University, but their original course place has now been confirmed, then we will guarantee to make an offer of accommodation.

However, this accommodation will not necessarily be in a residence previously advertised and is likely to be in self-catered purpose-built student accommodation in the City.

Please note that revised grade information will take time to come through to our accommodation department as it will need to first be processed and confirmed by the Admissions team. Once this has come through to our team we will re-instate your original application.

Students applying from 1 August

For students who did not apply by our guarantee deadline, such as students who had Exeter as a clearing or insurance choice. It is unlikely that we will be able to offer accommodation to students who have applied from 1 August. We are therefore advising students to look for private accommodation. We would recommend looking at our private options webpage and to explore Studentpad.

We are currently enhancing our operations to process these requests from week commencing 24 August and we will aim to send you an offer of accommodation by Friday 4 September.
You do not need to do anything further in relation to your accommodation application at this stage.

Whilst we understand that this is a difficult time for everyone. Please check out our extensive FAQ page. If you have any specific questions that are not answered by this, please contact us via SID@exeter.ac.uk or on 0300 555 0444.
