    Survey with community pharmacists

In 2023, based on the findings of ExeG PPC’s scoping review, the research team received funding from the University of Exeter’s Middle East & North Africa (MENA) development scheme to conduct research that aims to describe and explore the preparedness of pharmacists to be more involved in the delivery of asthma care in the Gulf Countries. The research team will conduct a cross-sectional survey study with pharmacists who are dispensing patients’ medications and/or providing other services in community pharmacy, initially in UAE and Qatar, but with a plan to expand to other Gulf countries. Pharmacists will be approached regardless of their country of origin or years of experience to ensure inclusivity in conducting the survey. This research is currently underway, and will shortly be open to recruitment. If you are a pharmacist working in UAE or Qatar and wish to find out more and/or participate, please contact the Chief Investigator Dr Aseel Mahmoud (A.Mahmoud@exeter.ac.uk).
