The aims of this seminar will include developing an understanding of:
1. To understand what subject knowledge means, why it is important and challenges surrounding trainees’ and teachers’ subject knowledge and confidence to teach PE.
2. To explore ways of developing trainees’ and teachers’ subject knowledge and confidence to teach PE.
3. To understand what non-binary and transgender means and challenges surrounding non-binary and transgender children and young people in PE.
4. To explore effective strategies to support and enhance non-binary and transgender children and young people’s learning in PE.
Geography
The aims of this seminar will include developing an understanding of:
· Geography in the National Curriculum
· Everyday and personal geography
· Graphicacy
· Using maps to support and inspire geography teaching
