Today’s blog is updating you all on the short-term availability within the city and what is available between September-January.
One Semester students
We have been able to offer some short-term one semester rooms to those Study Abroad Erasmus/Exchange students whose applications were initially held on our waiting list. These students were emailed last week to see if they were still looking for accommodation. If you had contacted us to state that you did still require accommodation then we have been able to send offers for either a James Owen Court room or certain rooms at Rowancroft on Tuesday/Wednesday of this week.
Availability in the city
We have updated our Erasmus/Exchange pages with a list of short-term accommodation which is available in the city. These residences are not university residences so please the information below and contact the providers directly:
- Downing Students (The Kingfisher)
- CRM Students (Iron Bridge Studios)
- Host Students (The Printworks)
- INTO Duryard (Single £200 per week and shared studios £170 per week). These rooms are provided by INTO and are available between 16 September – 16 December. Please contact: INTO.accommodation@exeter.ac.uk directly and the INTO Accommodation Team will provide an application form and further details of these rooms.
Using StudentPad
Adverts for 2017/18 are now available on the university property search engine at: www.exeterstudentpad.co.uk which include short-term lettings. We encourage you to visit our dedicated webpage for private accommodation prior to beginning your search as this provides information and advice on searching for accommodation within the city. To narrow your search you can:
- use the Contract Type? box to select with Short Lets (up to 23 weeks) or Short/Long lets so that only properties available for short-term letting are displayed.
- or use the Living arrangement? box to select Resident Landlord/Host Family so that only properties available for short-term letting are displayed.
You may find that landlords will only consider letting to groups of students and we would recommend using the message board on studentpad to forms groups. Please contact us to be emailed the password to gain access.
