As part of Exeter Writes Initiative, we are offering a 3 day PGR writing retreat at Buckfast Abbey this summer from 22nd-25th July. This is a dedicated space to write articles, PhD chapters etc, with timed writing sessions to enable PGR participants to focus on writing.
The retreat will provide transport to and from Streatham campus, accommodation and breakfast, dinners and all refreshments. Lunch is available from a café at the venue or participants can bring their own provisions. This opportunity is open to all PGRs. In order to ensure fairness a first come-first serve system will operate within each faculty, so it will not be possible to accommodate everyone that requests a place.
To maximise the learning outcomes, we highly encourage you to attend all 3 days writing retreats. Please note that places are very limited (13 in total), and preference will be given to those people who can commit to the full three days and who are in the writing-up phase of their doctoral journey. In order to ensure fairness a first come-first serve system will operate within each faculty. Unfortunately, this means it will not be possible to accommodate everyone who requests a place. However, you will be notified by 12th July 2024 whether or not you have been successful.
If you would like to attend and can commit to all three days, please complete the Microsoft Forms registration by 8 July 2024, 16:00 at the latest. The registration link is provided here.
