    ExeterEmployability

Welcome to Exeter Law School’s dedicated digital hub for employability.

At Exeter Law School, we are committed to supporting our students as they develop core skills that will empower them to compete, succeed and thrive in the future of work, law and business. Our flagship employability programme, #ExeterEmployability, is designed to help you do exactly that – to benefit from unique, bespoke opportunities to learn key skills and practice emerging competencies directly from leading lawyers, business leaders, legal entrepreneurs, social justice and human rights defenders, government and policy greats, and change makers from many different sectors and spheres.

Beyond our programme of extracurricular workshops, seminars and lectures hosted and organised by Dr Louise Loder, Senior Lecturer in Law and Director of Employability, we offer outstanding opportunities to take up a valuable work placement as part of your degree through our placements programme, led by Dr Charlie King, or to participate and gain hands-on, real-world legal practitioner experience in our sector-leading Community Law Clinic, led by Kim McDonald, solicitor and Senior Lecturer in the Law School.

As a current student of Exeter Law School, you receive a weekly email during term time that alerts you to various mentorship schemes, internship schemes, events and training opportunities. We also promote a range of ‘Themed Weeks’ throughout each term, spotlighting careers in sustainability, government and policy, business and many of the careers where the versatile law degree is highly prized. And our podcast series, created by our dedicated Law Careers Consultants Tess Read and Rachel Gaunt, will offer you valuable insights into the day to day lives of our alumni and friends working in law and the professions.

We hope that you will enjoy exploring and making good use of Exeter Law School’s digital Employability hub. We look forward to seeing you at our events, workshops and networking initiatives throughout this academic year.

The Law School’s employability programme is led by Dr Louise Loder, Senior Lecturer in Law and Director of Employability. If you would like to discuss an employability event or partnership, please get in touch here.
