Kate Holtaway

Director of Employability (Penryn)

Kate is a Senior Lecturer in Law and a qualified solicitor with a particular interest in employability, clinical legal education and learning through real-world legal experience.

Alongside her academic career, Kate has worked closely with community legal advice organisations in Cornwall, supporting access to justice and creating opportunities for students to develop practical legal and professional skills. Her research focuses on clinical legal education, employability and how universities can provide meaningful, sustainable opportunities for students to learn through practice.

Kate is particularly keen to help students build confidence, recognise the value of the skills they develop during their degree, and explore the wide range of careers and opportunities available to law graduates.
