Did you know we’ve been developing a brand new University of Exeter web-based app? We want to improve the student experience at Exeter, so we’re building it based on student insight, with continuous user feedback gathered throughout the whole development process. We’ll be releasing updates regularly, too!
Here’s everything you need to know about your new UoE App:
- It’s been developed based on student insight
We want Exeter to provide the best student experience possible, so we embarked on our ‘Student Experience Vision’ project to understand the current experience, identifying the common pain points of students at Exeter. We then built a minimum viable product (MVP) which found solutions to the top pain points in the form of the new UoE app. Throughout app development, we have continuously gathered feedback from users, holding workshops and usability tests, implementing this feedback to improve the app. And we are continuing to do this even now the app is released to users! 2. The Study Space feature
One handy feature is ‘Study Spaces’. You can view study space options filtered by your campus. Find out whether its a drop-in or bookable space, how many spaces the area has, and find a direct link to book the space.
3. The Discover feature
Discover the latest University updates and events in the ‘Discover’ feed, filtered by your campus. Read University updates articles and find direct links to book-on to exciting events.
4. The MyDay feature
View your class timetable within the app, with room and lecturer information.
5. Information and resources
Need to find quick links to facilities and support services at university? Use the ‘Campus Facilities’ and ‘Student Support’ features to find useful information relating to your life at University, filtered by your campus.
6. Access the Student Record System
Access SRS directly through the app to update your student profile.
7. Leave feedback
We are committed to continuous improvement of the student experience at Exeter and one way we’re doing this is through continuously improving the app based on your feedback given via the feedback form within the app – whether you like it, have an idea for a great new feature or want to report a bug, let us know! This will help us to continue developing the app and make it something all our students love.
