Why Clear Your Cache?

  • Fix Website Issues – Have you ever made or requested a change in T4 and then don’t see it appear on the live site? If a site isn’t loading properly or looks outdated, your cache might be serving an old version instead of fetching the latest updates.
  • Free Up Space – A bloated cache can take up unnecessary storage, slowing down your browser and device.
  • Enhance Security & Privacy – Cached data can include login credentials and personal details. Clearing it helps protect your information, especially on shared or public computers.
  • Improve Performance – A cluttered cache can slow down your browser rather than speed it up. Regularly clearing it ensures smoother browsing.

How to Clear Your Cache

Here’s how to clear your cache on different web browsers.
Remember: The web team recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox, especially for our CMS, T4.

  • Google Chrome: Go to Settings >History > Clear Browsing Data, then select “Cached images and files.”
  • Firefox: Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data, then click “Clear Data.”
  • Safari: Head to Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data and “remove stored cache”.
  • Microsoft Edge: Navigate to Settings > Privacy, search, and services, then click on “Choose what to clear under the “Delete browsing data” heading.
  • Keyboard Shortcut: To quickly check if a page you have made changes to has updated, press Ctrl + F5 on PC, or  Cmd + Shift + R on Mac, while viewing it to refresh and clear the cache.

Clearing your cache every few weeks can keep your browsing experience fast, secure, and hassle-free.
